PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Game Fish and Parks Commission will propose a change at its November meeting in the Spring Light Goose Conservation Order.
The change would open the spring light goose season statewide beginning on the 106th day from the Saturday closest to Nov. 1, and keep it open for 79 consecutive days. Since migratory waterfowl fall under federal guidelines, that allows GFP to open the light goose conservation order immediately after the last South Dakota Canada goose season has closed.
