JACKSON, MS – When Mississippi waterfowl hunters get their state duck stamp this year they’ll see a picture of a beautiful teal taken by Brandon’s Joe Mac Hudspeth, Jr.

The resident $10 state stamp is required by law for waterfowl hunters, along with a valid Mississippi license that covers small game and a federal duck stamp. A Sportsman’s, small game or all game hunting license is acceptable.

Waterfowl hunters can make use of their stamp right now, as Canada goose season is open through Sept. 15. The daily limit is five with no more than 10 in possession. Teal season runs form Sept. 13-28 with a daily limit of four and no more than eight in possession. For more information about waterfowl hunting in Mississippi visit www.mdwfp.com

Prints of the stamp can purchased from Hudspeth by calling 601-992-0752 or by visiting his Web site, www.southernfocus.com.
