TWRA to Make Proposals for 2010-11 Waterfowl Hunting Seasons at August Commission Meeting
Aug. 10, 2010NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is proposing a 60-day season for 2010-11 duck hunting, with one split similar to past years, that would end Jan. 30, 2011 and a 6-duck bag limit. TWRA has also recommended using the maximum number of days allowed for goose hunting seasons under the federal framework.
The second segment for Tennessee?s hunting seasons for the Statewide Duck Zone and the Reelfoot Duck Zone will run Dec. 4 and continue through Jan. 30, 2011. Shooting hours are one-half hour before sunrise until official sunset each day.

BUCHANAN --- The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Commission has passed a 60-day season for 2009-10 duck hunting, with one split similar to past years, that will end Jan. 31, 2010 and have a 6-duck bag limit. The approval was made during the August meeting of the TWRC which was held at Paris Landing State Park.

Statewide Duck Season Opens November 28 - Nov. 26, 2008
NASHVILLE -- Tennessee's 2008-09 statewide duck season opens Friday, Nov. 28 and will continue through Jan. 25, 2009. In the Reelfoot duck zone in the northwest portion of the state, the dates are Nov. 29-Jan. 25.
