L.D.W.F. Advisory for Duck Hunters Encountering Ongoing Oil Spill Activities During 2010-11 Season - Nov. 10, 2010
In advance of the opening of the regular duck season this weekend, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is advising duck hunters to remain aware of ongoing activities in coastal areas affected by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

White Lake Rice Field and Marsh Lottery Hunt Applications Being Accepted - Sep. 08, 2010
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is now accepting applications for the 2010-11 waterfowl marsh and rice field lottery hunts on the White Lake Wetlands Conservation Area in Vermilion Parish.

L.W.F.C. SETS TENTATIVE 20010-11 MIGRATORY WATERFOWL SEASONS - Aug. 05, 2010
The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission (LWFC) voted to tentatively adopt proposed season dates, bag limits and shooting hours for the 2010-11 migratory waterfowl season at their Aug. 5 meeting. The dates will be ratified by a declaration of emergency from the commission, after approval from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

In anticipation of the upcoming youth waterfowl hunts, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is reminding hunters of the age requirements to participate in these special hunts.

At their August meeting, the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission approved several changes to the 2009-10 Canada goose hunting season in Louisiana.

WHITE LAKE W.C.A. YOUTH WATERFOWL HUNT DATE ANNOUNCED - Sep. 01, 2009
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) will hold youth waterfowl hunts on the White Lake Wetlands Conservation Area (WCA) near Gueydan on Nov. 7 and 8. LDWF will sponsor the hunts to provide a quality experience for young waterfowl hunters.
