More waterfowl 2010 seasons open - Oct. 18, 2010More 2010 waterfowl seasons open later this month. A split season for blue, snow and Ross's geese in parts of the Upper Snake and Southeast regions opens October 22 and runs through January 14 and again from February 19 to March 10.

Idaho Fish and Game is offering a "first-time hunter" waterfowl hunt at the Hagerman Wildlife Management Area. This special hunt is open to all 2009 hunter education graduates 10 years old or older. The 22 hunters chosen by random drawing will be mentored by seasoned hunters who will provide the retriever dogs, calls and decoys.
